Do you ever look at your newsfeed, social media, or the state of your personal life and wonder, “How did it everything go so insane?”
I ask myself this regularly. Humans have been humaning for a very long time and we still have not figured this thing out. Of course, the Gospel has everything to do with our cultural craziness. The first part of the Gospel is, we were made from Love for Love. That’s great news. The second part is that we messed it all up, and to this day are dealing with the fall out.
During my time in ministry, I have come across many verses that explain this problem well, but two have stopped me in my tracks. The first comes from Exodus chapter three, when, of all people, pharaoh asks a question that I believe has become the cry of our culture. The second comes from the apostle Philip in the Gospel of John.
